Confidentiality and privacy of the individual are very important to us. We do not share any data we collect with any other parties except that all details (excluding debit/credit card information) are passed on to the owner/caretaker of the property you book. If this situation were to change, we will notify all parties concerned and honour their wishes, as well as complying with any obligations, limitations or restrictions placed on us by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998.
What information do we collect and how do we use it?
Wales Holidays gathers information from users of this web site both automatically and when they complete a booking form, enquiry and feedback forms, or use any other of our automated 'customer service' facilities.
When you order, we need to know your name, email address, postal address, credit or debit card number, the card's expiry date and issue number/start date when applicable. This allows us to process your booking form and send you a confirmation. We ask for your home and work telephone numbers as this enables us to contact you urgently should the need arise; your party details, arrival time, etc are required so that we can inform the property owner/caretaker who is coming, when to expect you and any special requirements.
We also routinely monitor the server and database logs and retain, on computer, a complete copy of this information and any associated electronic communications.
In the future we may use cookies, or other user identification systems,linked to our 'known users' database to welcome repeat visitors and provide a more personal service.
Details we store about you includes all details provided by yourself as well as all data collected by our cookie system, server and database logs & the IP & email addresses provided by your Internet Service Provider(s). This information is used to facilitate the smooth and uninterrupted operation of our business, and is also used as one of our key service improvement monitors.
